Frontiers of Conformal Deposition

Exploring current and emerging frontiers in ALD, CVD,
and solution-based conformal depositions.

Join us on September 23rd- 25th  2026 in Bratislava

Workshop topics

Spatially defined depositions

Deposition techniques that are inherently spatially defined, additive manufacturing techniques like DALP / ALAM, Photo-ALD, either with a mask or mask-less, Flash-enhanced ALD, and precursor/substrate-based inherent selectivity.

Coating of powders

Applications, results, and insights into coating powders. Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR) ALD for batteries/catalysis, fundamental behaviour of powders in FBR, powder fluidization issues, alternative powder coating techniques, and precursors/reactants optimized for powder use…

Solution-based depositions

Deposition that happens in the liquid phase instead of the gas phase. Fundamentals and applications of solution ALD, precursors for solution techniques, oxide removal in solvents, high-conformality sol-gel, and others…

Highly reactive substrates

Applications or fundamentals on substrates that participate in the reaction further than surface chemisorption, such as lithium metal decomposition precursors…

Conformal 2D materials

Challenging conformal deposition of 2D materials. Combined deposition approaches, novel precursors for 2D materials deposition, conformal coating on 2D materials themselves, and more…

On the frontiers session

Advanced growth characterization and metrology, ex-situ or in-situ, examination of failures during deposition, both on the machine and chemistry side, looking for novel solutions to persisting issues that are not known, for example, removal of oxides in the solvent phase, or conformal deposition on non-fluidizable powders….

DALP workshop at IEE SAS

(Direct Atomic Layer Processing Workshop)

We are happy to announce that, together with ATLANT 3D, we are adding a Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP) workshop day on September 25th.

The DALP workshop aims to provide a comprehensive experience with the DALP technique and the nanofabricator tool, including:

  • NANOFABRICATOR™ LITE showcase;

  • A demo sample process from start to finish;

  • Seminar on design and simulations for DALP;

  • Hands-on experience with DALP Designer.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the workshop.

Venue

  • The workshop will be held at the Small Congress Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in the heart of Bratislava Old Town, opposite to the Presidential Palace.

  • The location would allow all participants to enjoy the surroundings on foot, with plenty of hotels nearby.

  • Thanks to the on-site cafeteria, the only available coffee is freshly brewed.

For any questions, please contact us.
